Psalm 139 says that the Lord searched me and knows me. Yesterday, I lay my 6 year-old boy in his bed and I told him that the Lord knows him and searches him. My son thought that knowing meant that the Lord knows his outward forms and that is basicly it. I explain to him that the LORD knows all things. Even before my son was born, He knew that he was to be born, he knew when and where. What is more important, he perceives where we are, what we are doing and what we are thinking. My boy felt trapped:-).
Still, this word is true. About 2 years ago, the LORD revealed to me that my name meant:"Wonderful scent". As a child, I prayed a lot. I did not have anybody to turn to, so I turned to God (I learned about prayer when I attended a Catholic school). I prayed a lot to God and I could see the fruits of my prayers.
Rev. 5:8 says:
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
I realized that God knew me before I was born. He was the One who spoke, when they asked for my name. He carefully planned my existence, the name which I was to have and which would characterized my being. This week He asked me to surrender all to Him. To bring all my worries (small as well great) to His cross and to trust Him to take care of all. To trust Him to establish justice, righteousness and that He is in control of all. How can I not? His Name says that He is the great "I am". He is the One who He says He is. How can I not trust Him when He perfectly created me, a very small being compared to the heavens. It is great to know that the great "I am" is watching over me and taking care of me.
